House rules

  • Arrival after 14:00. The key is in a box by the door; the code is on your booking confirmation. Check-out by 10:00.
  • No music after ten. The neighbours are early risers.
  • Smoking outside only, away from the windows.
  • No pets.
  • Visitors who are not booked guests may not stay overnight.
  • Please close the gate behind you; the neighbour's cattle use the lane.

We asked for a cot and it was there. The river cottage is better than the pictures. Would stay again.

The windows open properly and the mattress is firm. Perfect for a weekend. Our thanks to Rolf for the welcome.

Rolf left bread, eggs and coffee for the first morning. We came for a funeral in the district and this was the one easy part of the week. My mother, who is hard to please, was pleased.

We stayed a week and would have stayed longer. Rolf left bread, eggs and coffee for the first morning. Recommended without reservation.

Some things were good and some were not. Noise from the street carried into the bedroom until late. Rolf did reply quickly when we raised it.

Much as described. The towels were thick and there were more of them than we needed. The stairs are steep with luggage.
