The foundry closed and was divided into flats. This one has the crane rail still running along the ceiling. Hollbach is a works town; the canteens open early and the buses run on shift times. There is room for 6 guests: 3 bedrooms, 3 beds.

We came for a funeral in the district and this was the one easy part of the week. Our thanks to Johanna for the welcome.

We stayed three nights and would have stayed longer. There was a list of shops and their opening hours on the table, which was useful on the Sunday. Recommended without reservation.

Nice place, friendly host. The windows open properly and the mattress is firm. The shower takes a while to run hot.

Everything was ready when we arrived. Johanna was a kind host and answered every message within the hour.

Fine for a night or two. It was colder inside than we expected and the heating was slow to respond. Johanna was apologetic.

A good stay on the whole. The bus stop is at the end of the road and the timetable is pinned inside the door. The stairs are steep with luggage.
