The lodge was built for the forestry crews and let when they moved on. It has a stove, bunks and a proper kitchen. Furtau is forest country. The tracks are marked by the district forester and are safe to walk. There is room for 6 guests: 3 bedrooms, 4 beds.

House rules

  • Arrival after 16:00. The key is in a box by the door; the code is on your booking confirmation. Check-out by 11:00.
  • No music after ten. The neighbours are early risers.
  • No smoking indoors.
  • Dogs by arrangement, one only, not on the beds.
  • No parties. The host lives nearby.
  • Use only the firewood from the stack by the door; do not cut anything.

Everything was ready when we arrived. Would stay again.

Fine for a night or two. The kitchen needed a better clean before we arrived. Uwe did reply quickly when we raised it.
