A woodcutter's lodge in a clearing, with a porch, a chopping block and a stack of wood you are welcome to use. Oberholt is forest country. The tracks are marked by the district forester and are safe to walk. There is room for 2 guests: 1 bedroom, 1 bed.

House rules
- Arrival after 15:00. The key is in a box by the door; the code is on your booking confirmation. Check-out by 10:00.
- Quiet hours from 22:00 to 07:00.
- No smoking indoors.
- Dogs by arrangement, one only, not on the beds.
- Visitors who are not booked guests may not stay overnight.
- Use only the firewood from the stack by the door; do not cut anything.

Nice place, friendly host. The towels were thick and there were more of them than we needed. The road outside is busier in the morning than we expected.

The woodcutter's lodge is better than the pictures. The instructions were clear and the key was where they said it would be. Five stars, and we do not give them lightly.

Our second time here and it was as good as the first. We asked for a cot and it was there. We have already booked for next year.

We came for a funeral in the district and this was the one easy part of the week. There was a list of shops and their opening hours on the table, which was useful on the Sunday. Our thanks to Lea for the welcome.
