A miner's cottage in a terrace of six, with a front room, a back kitchen and a yard. Kessel is in the hills. Mornings are cold at any time of year. It sleeps 2 in 1 bedroom.

House rules
- Arrival after 14:00. The key is in a box by the door; the code is on your booking confirmation. Check-out by 10:00.
- No music after ten. The neighbours are early risers.
- Smoking outside only, away from the windows.
- Dogs by arrangement, one only, not on the beds.
- No parties. The host lives nearby.
- In snow, please leave the car at the bottom of the hill.

It served its purpose. The bathroom fan did not work. Nothing a morning's work would not put right.

A solid choice for a week. The walk into Kessel takes ten minutes and there is a good bakery on the way. The shower takes a while to run hot.

A pleasant miner's cottage in a good spot. The towels were thick and there were more of them than we needed. One of the windows does not quite close; Klaus says it is being seen to.
