The cottage belonged to a fishing family. The boat is gone; the smell of tar in the porch is not. The Osmoor is quiet at night apart from the garrison. Blackout blinds are fitted and are to be used. It sleeps 2 in 1 bedroom.

House rules
- Check-in between 14:00 and 21:00; late arrivals by arrangement with the host. Check-out by 11:00.
- No music after ten. The neighbours are early risers.
- No smoking anywhere on the property, including the porch.
- Pets are not allowed. The host's cat is not a pet in this sense.
- No parties or events.
- Blackout blinds must be drawn after dark, as the garrison regulations require.
