A cottage by the river with a garden down to the bank and a bench at the bottom of it. The Ostrand is farm country; Grautal has a market day, a bakery and a bus to the regional city. It sleeps 2 in 1 bedroom.

A good stay on the whole. There was a list of shops and their opening hours on the table, which was useful on the Sunday. The road outside is busier in the morning than we expected.

We arrived late and in the rain and it did not matter. A jar of honey from the neighbour was waiting on the table. Nele was a kind host and answered every message within the hour.

The windows open properly and the mattress is firm. We came for a funeral in the district and this was the one easy part of the week. Five stars, and we do not give them lightly.

Comfortable and clean. The towels were thick and there were more of them than we needed. The stairs are steep with luggage.

Good value for Grautal. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. One of the windows does not quite close; Nele says it is being seen to.
